  11. 2 tsp Jeeravan Masala Powder
  12. To taste Salt
  13. 2 tsp Lemon Juice
  14. 2 tsp Cooking Oil
  15. 3 tbsp Pomegranate Seeds
  16. 1/4 cup Aloo Bhujia Sev

Instructions to make to make Indori Poha

  1. Wash Poha thoroughly in a bowl. Drain excess water and keep it aside for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Add salt and mix it gently with a fork or with your hand, separating the rice flakes in the process.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.
  4. Add cashew nut/peanuts and fry them for a minute.
  5. Add pieces of sliced green chillies and curry leaves to the pan.
  6. Add turmeric powder and stir fry the ingredients together for half a minute.
  7. Add Poha to the pan. Mix together all the ingredients lightly.
  8. Add sugar to the poha. Also add some lemon juice and mix lightly.
  9. Sprinkle some Jeeravan Masala Powder and freshly cut coriander leaves.
  10. Transfer the contents to individual plates for serving.
  11. Add freshly cut onions and tomatoes to the poha.
  12. Garnish with some more Jeeravan Masala Powder, Coriander Leaves, Pomegranate Seeds and Aloo Bhujia Sev to the poha.
  13. Poha is ready. Sprinkle a few drops of lemon juice and serve.
