  4. 1 cup tamarind chatuny
  5. 1/4 cup roasted cumin powder
  6. 2 tbsp red chilli powder
  7. 1/2 tsp cooking soda
  8. as per taste Salt
  9. as per requirement Oil for frying vada
  10. 1/2 tsp chat masala powder
  11. 1/2 tsp sugar
  12. as requried Small packet of thin besan sev
  13. As required Coriander leaves for garnishing

Steps to make to make Dahi vada

  1. Wash and soak both the daal for few hours
  2. Once daal is ready take the mixer jaar and grind the daal make a smooth batter
  3. Meanwhile take a pan and heat the oil Add cooking soda and salt into the batter
  4. Once the oil is heated whisk the batter for few seconds and take a small portion of the batter with the spoon and pour batter in the pan and make vada. fry until golden brown on low medium heat
  5. Once the vada is done Take a bowl add water and add the vada. Soak until soft.
  6. When the vada is soft then squeeze out all the water by pressing in both your hands
  7. Now whisk the yoghurt and make it a little thin add salt chat masala and a little bit of sugar. Mix well
  8. Take 3 vadas into the bowl, add the yoghurt mixture, tamarind chutney if you like you can add green chutney as well
  9. Now add cumin powder and red chilli powder
  10. Garnish with sev and coriander leaves. Your tasty yummy dahi vada is ready enjoy.
