  19. handful Fresh pomegranate seeds

  1. Take the dry ingredients- refined flour, semolina, whole wheat flour, baking powder,salt and mix together. Now, add the wet ingredients- oil, milk with water(I used 2tbsp) to knead into a soft dough.
  2. Keep this dough in a cling wrap and refrigerate for 1/2 hr. Take it out and make small pieces.
  3. Roll it thin like puri and prick with fork. Either out a cloth or a cling wrap on these pricked puris.
  4. Preheat the oven at 180 degree for 10 mins. Put tart shelves or put cupcake mould inverted and grease them. Place these pricked puris on them.
  5. Bake them for 10-12 mins or till you see the tarts light brown and crisp. Take them out and cool. Tarts are ready, you may use filling of your choice.
  6. I used the following. Mix the chopped potatoes with pudina chutney. Beat and churn the curd with a little black salt and castor sugar(1/2tsp). Fill the potatoes in the tarts. Garnish with swirl of curd, tarmarind chutney, sev, cumin powder, red chili powder, pomegranate and coriander leaves. Serve immediately.
