- 7-8 curry leaves chopped

- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 pinch baking soda

- Firstly collect all ingridents. Chop onion, green chilli, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
- Take big bowl and combine all ingridents. Mix well.
- Now slowly add the water little at a time to get a slightly thick batter.
- Now add baking soda and mix well.
- Heat oil for deep frying, when the oil gets hot put small droplets of the batter in the oil.
- Fry in medium flame and in batches until the ponganalu is nicely golden.
- Transfer to a paper napkin to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with any chutney of your choice and with a cup of tea or coffee.
